Contemporary Art Gallery

Design and Production, 2021–Present

As the freelance designer for the Contemporary Art Gallery (CAG), I leverage the identity created by Post Projects to deliver a wide range of printed materials. This includes meticulously producing program guides, exhibition guides, posters and wall vinyl, ensuring each piece reflects CAG's distinctive aesthetic and mission. Additionally, I have overseen the production of CAG’s permanent exterior signage, street banners, tote bags, business cards, and a diverse array of branded stationery.

Sonja Ahlers: Men Explained Things to Me

Design and Production, 2024

Under the direction of Godfre Leung, I had the privilege to lead the design and production efforts for this project. This included sourcing materials for two distinct versions of the cassette box: one economical version made from paper board, and another crafted meticulously by a local bindery featuring hand-applied gold leaf on linen. Additionally, I oversaw the production of Ahlers’ zine, the design of paper cassette inserts (j-cards), and managed the pad printing process for the vibrant cassette tapes. This project was made in collaboration with the Richmond Art Gallery and was showcased during Ahlers’ exhibition “Classification Crisis” (September 9 - November 5, 2023).

From the exhibition guide—A mail art edition of 150, Men Explained Things to Me is an art project about the emotional economy of mixtapes from boys. This edition is a facsimile of four mixtapes made for Sonja in the nineties by a very famous musician (who will remain unnamed here), and the power dynamics underlying those “gifts.” The music on those mixtapes was “taped over” with recordings by women and nonbinary artists, many of which touch on themes of marginalization, asymmetrical power relations, exploitation, and abuse in art and music scenes.

Jack Kenna Photo Book

Design, Production and Publication, 2024

I directed the design, production and publication of this limited edition of artist-quality photo books for the Brooklyn-based artist Jack Kenna. Collaborating closely with a skilled local printing house, I ensured the project was completed within budget and on schedule, maintaining high standards of quality and artistic integrity throughout the process. “To Carve Without Cutting” Advertisement

Design, 2024

I created the print advertisement for “To Carve Without Cutting,” an exhibition curated by Asia Jong and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts. This advertisement is slated to be featured in the Summer 2024 issue of C Magazine. It showcases an image of a distinctive window from the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, the exhibition's venue, which I manipulated to capture the essence of the event.
